Restorative Yoga with Marsha Yeagley

Session description:
Restorative yoga is a passive practice in which the participant's body is supported by bolsters, blocks, and / or blankets while lying in numerous poses for approximately five minutes per pose. Some refer to it as a choreographed nap without actually sleeping. The body moves from the sympathetic to the parasympathetic nervous system at which time the heart rate/blood pressure, and stress hormones lower, resulting in a deep sense of relaxation. Those practicing will be listening to music as well as hearing relaxing messages, imagery, and experiencing a variety of scents from essential oils. If the person practicing does not choose to experience the oils, they have that option.
